Carvajal to keep playing after Madrid exit as he stays open to all options

Dani Carvajal insists he is not retiring after leaving Real Madrid and is staying open to all options.

Carvajal said goodbye to Madrid last Saturday, signing off with a 4-2 win over Athletic Club and registering an assist on his 451st and final appearance.

Only Sergio Ramos (671) and Marcelo (546) have made more appearances than Carvajal for Madrid among defenders in their history.

He won 27 trophies with Los Blancos, including six Champions League titles, as well as LaLiga four times.

Carvajal is yet to decide where he will be playing next season, with reports linking him to a move to Qatar and Cesc Fabregas' Como.

"I'll enjoy the summer a bit, but I'll keep playing, that's clear and definite for me," he told El Chiringuito TV.

"We'll see what the best options are for me and my family, and based on that, I'll make the decision."

Asked if he would be staying in Spain or moving abroad, Carvajal added: "I don't know, we'll decide that calmly."
