There are really no rules on what developers decide to include when it comes to slots. There was an invasion of Irish themed slots back in the day, then Chinese games became really popular, and still are to this day, and for a while it seemed every slot developer was chasing a really cartoony look. But through it all, you occasionally get something out of field which no one saw coming, and we’re willing to say that Microgaming took us by surprise. How to Play

Before you can put on your best dress and try to win as many hearts as possible, you should prepare beforehand by selecting your wager. The coin denomination goes from $0.01 to $0.20, and the bet can be set anywhere between $0.15 up to $60 per spin. Because of a wide range of betting options, Dream Date is set to attract a great deal of suitors, from the lower end gamblers to big budget high rollers looking to risk it all for one big win.

The list of game icons include two women, eight dream dates, and then you have poker card symbols on top of that. Keep in mind that Dream Date allows you to switch visually between medieval times and modern times, which is simply a flavor change, and, because of that, all symbols have different visuals to account for that. In gameplay, however, you will always have one woman and four dream dates.

The slot’s logo is used as Wild. It can replace any icon except for Scatter and cannot act as a substitute for Hot Zone wins. Wilds on the third reel will also expand to fill the reel entirely. Meanwhile, a treasure chest full of roses acts as Scatter and land enough Scatters triggers a free spins bonus, alongside a nice cash bonus on top of that.

As for bonus features, there are two of them. The first are Hot Zones, which appear only in the middle of the first and fifth reel. At any point, you can choose your dream date, which increases that symbol’s value, and makes it eligible to be part of the bonus. If the lady and her dream date land on the Hot Zones at the same time, they reward free spins and a cash prize. If you land the lady and one of the other dates, you only win a cash prize, which can be between 2x to 40x.

When you activate free spins through Hot Zones or Scatters, you’re awarded with 8 free spins, but if they’re both active, you actually win 16 extra turns. During free spins, all date icons are replaced with the dream date, increasing your winning potential by a fair amount.

"We can’t imagine there’s a great deal of players looking to find their dream hunk playing slots, but it’s nice to see that developers are trying to cater to female gamblers as well. The bonuses are nothing new, but they get the job done and the soundtrack can be a bit repetitive after a while. That said, the slot is visually appealing, it has some fun gameplay and the jackpot is mouthwatering to think about."
