Malaga midfielder Duda was determined not to let a late goal for Anderlecht in his team’s final Champions League group game spoil his party.
An 89th-minute equaliser from Anderlecht striker Dieumerci Mbokani snatched the victory away from Manuel Pellegrini’s men, despite a double from the Portuguese winger.
Playing in their first Champions League tournament, Malaga moved into the knockout stages of the competition with an unbeaten record, and although the 32-year-old lamented conceding late, he was still delighted with the progress the team have made.
“We have done a great job here tonight (Tuesday),” Duda told reporters.
“We are happy with the performance, it’s just a shame about the final goal. The importing thing though, is that we got the point.
“Now we can move on and think about the next La Liga match.”
