Aberdeen manager Craig Brown is interested in signing Borussia Moenchengladbach’s Australian forward Mathew Leckie.
According to the Evening Express, Brown is keen to bolster his attacking options with the 20-year-old Australian joining Falkirk’s Farid El Alagui as his chief targets.
Leckie joined Moenchengladbach from A-League club Adelaide United prior to the 2011/12 season and he has since made seven appearances off the bench for the Bundesliga outfit in all competitions.
The young striker, who can also play on the right wing, scored twice in the pre-season when Moenchengladbach defeated Aberdeen 5-2 in a friendly.
Aberdeen are ninth in the Scottish Premier League having scored just 25 goals in 23 matches.
