AC Milan target Liverpool defender Joe Gomez

AC Milan are interested in signing Joe Gomez from Liverpool in the summer transfer window, according to CaughtOffSide. Gomez is out of contract at the Premier League club in the summer of 2027.

Bayern Munich are also said to be interested in a 2026 summer deal for Gomez, with West Ham United and Brighton and Hove Albion said to be looking into a possible deal for the 28-year-old England international defender. Gomez wants £4.5 million per year as salary at his new club, and the report has claimed that Liverpool are willing to cash in on him.

A source told CaughtOffSide: ‘Liverpool are keen to reshape their back line with younger, specialist profiles.

‘Gomez is no longer seen as indispensable but rather as a valuable market asset.

‘With his contract expiring in 2027, the summer of 2026 is viewed as the last major opportunity for the club to secure a significant transfer fee.’
