Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice as Al-Nassr defeated Al-Okhdood 3-0 to restore their four-point lead at the top of the Saudi Pro League.

Ronaldo netted both of his goals before the break, and saw a third strike disallowed, before Joao Felix wrapped up the win in second-half stoppage time as the hosts made it 10 wins from 10 in the league this season.

After seeing three early attempts fail to hit the back of the net, Ronaldo broke the deadlock in the 31st minute. Abdulelah Al Amri flicked Joao Felix’s corner towards the back post, where Ronaldo was on hand to tap in.

And the 40-year-old doubled Al-Nassr’s advantage on the stroke of half-time, instinctively finishing past Samuel Portugal with a first-time shot from Marcelo Brozovic’s low cross.

Kingsley Coman struck the woodwork early in the second half before Ronaldo was denied a hat-trick after a VAR check for offside.

Joao Felix eventually got the third in the 94th minute, showing great composure to finish while one-on-one after being through on goal by Nawaf Bu Washl.

Elsewhere, Al-Qadsiah lost ground in their hunt for an AFC Champions League place after a 1-1 draw with 10-man Damac, as Mateo Retegui cancelled out Valentin Vada’s opener.

Data Debrief: Portugal’s finest at it again

It was a fairly routine win for Al-Nassr, who produced 3.14 expected goals (xG) from 15 shots to Al-Okhdood’s 0.47 from just four attempts.

Ronaldo accounted for 1.63 of that xG for the home side, registering the most shots in the match (five), as he moved level with Joao Felix at the top of the Saudi Pro League scorers’ chart with 12 goals.

A goal was the least Joao Felix deserved, with the forward registering the most touches in the box (eight), creating the joint-most chances (three) and competing in the most duels (15).
