Barcelona defender Dani Alves cannot wait to tangle with Real Madrid in their Copa del Rey quarter-final on Wednesday.
The upcoming encounter is the fourth Clasico of the 2011-12 campaign after previous meetings for the Spanish Supercopa and La Liga.
Alves said the Catalans always enjoy locking horns with their arch-rivals, given the number of times they usually face each other during a season.
“We really enjoy playing against Real Madrid. There is always a certain balance between the two teams when we meet, regardless of the form in previous weeks,” Alves said in an interview with Barca TV.
“We meet again, and that’s only normal. Big teams that fight for the same trophies will meet more than once per season.”
“We will be well prepared and then we’ll see what happens. I have already featured in plenty of games like this and the overall balance is positive.”
