Arsenal in talks over Ademola Lookman

Arsenal are interested in signing Ademola Lookman from Atalanta in the summer transfer window, according to CaughtOffSide. The report has claimed that the North London club, who finished second in the Premier League table last season, have restarted negotiations over a deal for the former Everton forward.

Atalanta are willing to sell Lookman, but the Serie A club want €45-50million plus add-ons. The 27-year-old Nigeria international forward is ready to join a club in the Premier League and is keen on proving himself in the English top flight. While Liverpool are also keeping an eye on Lookman, ‘Arsenal remained the most likely candidates and have now restarted those talks with an aim to do a deal this summer’, according to the report.

Lookman made 40 appearances for Atalanta last season, scoring 20 goals and providing seven assists in the process. The forward has played 118 matches in all competitions for the Italian club so far in his career, scoring 52 goals and providing 25 assists in the process.
