Aston Villa will not sell Morgan Rogers in the January transfer window, according to Football Insider. The Villas are having a poor season, with the club’s president of football operations Monchi also leaving, but that will not force them into selling Rogers.
Chelsea and Manchester City were interested in signing Rogers from Villa in the summer transfer window, but Villa did not sell the 23-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger.
Rogers has made six appearances for Villa so far in this campaign. Last season, the youngster made 54 appearances for the Villans, scoring 14 goals and providing 16 assists in the process. Unai Emery’s side are third from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with just three points from five matches, a point behind 17th-placed Brentford.
