Atletico Madrid have completed the signing of defender Marc Pubill from Almeria.
The 22-year-old has signed a five-year deal with Atleti after two seasons with Almeria.
Pubill has already played 34 times in LaLiga during spells with Almeria and Levante, providing four assists in that time.
He also registered the same number of assists last season in the Spanish second division, with Almeria losing in the promotion playoffs to Real Oviedo.
Pubill started in all four of Spain’s matches during the U21 Euros this summer before they were knocked out by England in the quarter-finals, and he won a gold medal with his country at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
He is Atleti’s seventh signing of the summer window following the transfers of Alex Baena, Johnny Cardoso, Thiago Almada, Matteo Ruggeri, Juan Musso and Clement Lenglet.
