Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Oleksandr Zinchenko from Arsenal in the January transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that Arsenal are ready to offload the former Manchester City left-back, and that negotiations over a deal are going on at the moment.
It has been reported that Atletico head coach Diego Simeone personally wants to sign Zinchenko, who can also operate as a midfielder. Simeone believes that the Ukraine international’s versatility will be a boon to his team, who are aiming to win La Liga this season.
Atletico, though, are facing competition for Zinchenko. German club Borussia Dortmund are also keen on a deal for the 28-year-old, who has made only 13 appearances this season. In the 2023-24 campaign, Zinchenko scored one goal and provided two assists in 35 matches in all competitions for Arsenal, who are interested in signing Antoine Semenyo from Premier League rivals Bournemouth in the January transfer window.
