(GSM) – Atletico Madrid are prepared to sell their top scorer Diego Forlan if a big money bid were to be made, club president Enrique Cerezo revealed.

The Uruguay striker has been linked with a host of clubs. Recent reports have suggested Tottenham Hotspur were preparing a bid for the 31-year-old while French champions Olympique Marseille are also keeping a close eye on the situation.

“To my knowledge there’s been no bid for (Sergio) Aguero or (Diego) Forlan, I cannot say if it I would sell for €25 million because we have not heard the offer. The negotiations would be normal,” Cerezo was quoted as saying by AS before adding that the club’s hierarchy have met to discuss possible signings.

“There will be a few signings. At the end of the season the technical secretary and the coach met with us to find the positions we need to strengthen.”
