Bayern have ´rosy future´, says Lahm

Bayern Munich defender Philipp Lahm believes the Bundesliga table-toppers have a bright future ahead of them.

The full-back feels Bayern posses a lot of quality in their team, and is confident they will become genuine Champions League contenders in the not too distant future.

“We have so much quality in the team. We can look forward to a rosy future,” Lahm told the club’s official website.

“We need to keep picking up experience, so we become genuine Champions League contenders at some point. And none of us would object if it was to be this season.”

“In another three or four years, almost all of us will be the perfect age for a footballer. We could go on to achieve a lot over a period of years.”

“Louis van Gaal set the process in motion, and Jupp Heynckes has fine-tuned it. The players have taken the FC Bayern way to heart.”

The Bavarians currently sit top of the league table three points ahead of Borussia Dortmund and Schalke, and are still in the Champions League and DFB Pokal.
