Anderlecht retained their three-point lead in the Belgian First Division after the top two teams were both held to 0-0 draws on Sunday.

League leaders Anderlecht failed to break down their visitors OH Leuven at the Stade Constant Vanden Stock.

The hosts were forced to play out the closing exchanges with just 10 men when Hungary defender Roland Juhasz was shown a straight red card on 79 minutes.

They survived to take a point, while Leuven avoided defeat for the first time in four matches.

Anderlecht were not punished for their failure to beat the strugglers, as second-placed team Gent also played out a 0-0 stalemate away to Standard Liege.

Like Anderlecht, hosts Liege finished a man down after Brazilian defender Kanu was sent off on 89 minutes at the Stade Maurice Dufrasne.

The draw leaves Gent three points back in second spot, while Liege are fourth and remain seven points off the lead.
