RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko has an agreement in principle with Newcastle United, according to journalist Nicolo Schira. The reporter has claimed that that Newcastle are now working with Leipzig to get a deal done for the Slovenia international striker.
Schira wrote on X: “Benjamin #Sesko has an agreement in principle with #Newcastle for a contract until 2030. #NUFC are now working to reach a deal with #Leipzig. #transfers.”
Sesko has been at RB Leipzig since 2023 when he joined from RB Salzburg. The 22-year-old has established himself as one of the best strikers in Europe and was on the radar of Arsenal before the Gunners decided to sign Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP. Manchester United have also been linked with Sesko. Newcastle will play in the UEFA Champions League last season after finishing in the top five of the Premier League table in the 2024-25 campaign.
