Competition: Egyptian Premier League

Market: Al Ahly win

Odds: 1/2 @ Pribet

Looking to skyrocket their way to the top of the Premier League table on Thursday evening, Al Ahly will welcome Al Masry to the Cairo International Stadium.

Starting with the hosts, getting the midweek fixtures underway sat just one-point adrift of finding a route back to the top of the Premier League standings, Al Ahly have their sights firmly set on making even more history this season. Pencilled in as a standout contender to make it three consecutive domestic crowns in 2025, the Egyptian giants will be confident of laying down another marker here. Despite suffering CAF Champions League frustration last month, the Reds have come roaring back in an eye-catching fashion. Last seen putting in what was a dominant display as they cruised their way to a 5-0 romp against Haras El Hodood, Al Ahly have won their last two Premier League showdowns by an aggregate score of 8-2. Appearing to have found a recent clinical edge in the final third, Thursday’s hosts have suffered just a single defeat from any of their previous eight appearances across all competitions.

As for the visitors, while Al Masry might know that they can move within touching distance of bronze medal position here, the Green Eagles have drastically failed to find any kind of fluidity over recent times. Now settling for consecutive 0-0 stalemates against Zamalek and Ghazl El Mahallah, Thursday’s guests have mustered just a single win from any of their previous five appearances across all fronts. Not collecting back-to-back wins since the start of March, the Port Said-based outfit have continued to show some glaring issues on the road. Including a 3-1 defeat against National Bank Egypt on March 7th, Al Masry are without a win from their last five showdowns away from the Suez Stadium. Pencilled in as a real underdog contender here, Ali Maher’s side should also be concerned by a nightmare record against the defending champions. In fact, they have lost all of their last four meetings by an aggregate score of 9-1.

Bet: Al Ahly 1/2 to beat Al Masry in Thursday’s Egyptian Premier League matchup @ Pribet
