Competition: EFL Trophy

Market: Barnsley win

Odds: 6/5 @ Pribet

Two camps who will turn their attention back to EFL Trophy action on Tuesday night, Barnsley will welcome Lincoln to Oakwell.

Starting with the hosts, while Barnsley might have found themselves at the heart of a real struggle prior to October’s international break, the Tykes have largely turned a recent corner. Last seen putting in a stellar performance as they clinched a 2-1 victory away at local rivals Doncaster, Conor Hourihane will be demanding a repeat display here. Extending on their FA Cup adventure earlier in the month as they got November underway with an action-packed 3-2 win at home against National League outfit York City, Barnsley have won three of their previous four appearances across all competitions. Putting a maiden EFL Trophy victory on the board last month as they secured a 5-2 win against Manchester United’s U21s, Tuesday’s hosts should be excited by their clinical performances in the final third. Along with notching 10 goals in their last four outings, Hourihane’s men have also notched at least a pair of goals in five of their previous six outings.

As for the visitors, although Lincoln might have come flying out of the traps when opening up the 2025/26 campaign, Michael Skubala’s side have come crashing back down to earth in a worrying fashion. Last seen over the weekend putting in a nightmare performance as they slumped to a 3-0 drumming at the hands of Rotherham, the Imps should be bracing themselves for another tricky test when they turn their attention back to EFL Trophy action here. Suffering a frustrating FA Cup exit on November 1st as they were hit with penalty shootout heartbreak against Salford, Tuesday’s guests have also collected just a single point from their previous three League One appearances. Now with just their goal difference keeping them in the play-off places, Skubala’s men have also shown some recent issues away from Since Bank. Failing to win any of their last four matchups on the road, this is their worst away rut since the start of April.

Bet: Barnsley 6/5 to beat Lincoln in Tuesday’s EFL Trophy battle @ Pribet
