Competition: Copa del Rey

Market: Both teams to score – No

Odds: 2/3 @ 1xBet

In what could prove to be a cagey Copa del Rey showdown on Thursday evening, Getafe will travel to Castile and Leon when they meet Burgos.

Starting with the hosts, making a much-welcomed return to winning ways over the weekend as they dragged themselves to a 2-1 victory away at Almeria, Burgos find themselves at the heart of a shock Segunda play-off scrap. However, hit with consecutive 1-0 losses against Albacete and Ceuta on either side of opening December, Luis Miguel Ramis’ men have shown some extended inconsistencies over the past few weeks. Despite extending on their Copa del Rey adventure earlier in the month as they sneaked a nail-biting 1-0 win against Real Zaragoza, Burgos have won just a pair of their previous seven outings across all competitions within 90 minutes. Likewise, suffering consecutive Segunda defeats in Castile and Leon for the first time this season, Thursday’s hosts are also desperately searching for some kind of clinical edge in the final third. Including a 0-0 stalemate against Castellon on November 10th, Burgos have drawn a blank in all of their previous three showdowns at the Estadio Municipal El Plantío.

As for the visitors, despite signing off November with a crucial 1-0 victory at home against Elche, it appears that was just a minor boost for Getafe. Last seen over the weekend putting in another toothless performance as they slumped to a 1-0 loss at the hands of Espanyol, Jose Bordalas’ side have lost four of their previous five La Liga appearances on either side of November’s international break. Hit with consecutive 1-0 defeats against Mallorca and local rivals Atletico Madrid on either side of November’s fortnight interval, the Blues have also shown their own glaring issues in the final third. Including a 2-0 loss against Villarreal earlier in the month, Getafe have drawn a blank in four of those five La Liga showdown. In fact, Thursday’s guests have recorded just a sole top-flight strike since the end of October. In what could prove to be a cagey affair from Castile and Leon in midweek, don’t be surprised to see chances come at a premium here.

Bet: Both teams *not* to score at Burgos CF vs Getafe 2/3 for Thursday’s Copa del Rey tie @ 1xBet
