Competition: MLS
Market: Cincinnati win
Odds: 7/10 @ Pribet
Knowing that they can climb to the top of the Eastern Conference standings, Cincinnati will welcome Dallas to Ohio in the early hours of Thursday.
Starting with the hosts, eventually falling to what was an action-packed 4-2 loss away at Atalanta last week, Cincinnati are desperately seeking an immediate response here. Getting Thursday’s showdown underway sat just one-point adrift of climbing to the top of the Eastern Conference standings, the Garys will certainly be excited to make a return to home soil in midweek. Last seen at the TQL Stadium claiming a 2-1 victory against Austin, Pat Noonan’s side have gained a fearsome reputation for their success on home soil. Including another 2-1 win against Sporting KC last month, Cincinnati have won their previous three MLS showdown in front of their own supporters by an aggregate score of 5-2. Likewise, the Ohio-based outfit have also registered 13 points from their last five matchups on home soil. Yet to suffer a single defeat at the TQL Stadium since opening up the 2025 campaign, Noonan’s side should be smelling a real opportunity this weekend.
As for the visitors, last seen falling to a 1-0 loss away at Seattle, Dallas find themselves at the heart of a public struggle. Crashing out of the US Open Cup on May 22nd as they were hit with penalty shootout heartbreak away at the New York Red Bulls, Eric Quill’s side have now lost their previous three appearances across all competitions. Facing what is a real uphill battle in the race to find a route into the play-off spots, Thursday’s guests have also notched just a single win from their last nine meetings against top-flight opposition across all competitions. With that extended rut stemming back to the end of March, Dallas have also shown some glaring issues away from the Toyota Stadium. Slumping to a woeful 5-0 drumming at the hands of San Diego, Quill’s side have shipped 11 goals in their last four matchups outside of Texas.
