Competition: Serie A

Market: Napoli win

Odds: 4/7 @ BetUS

Turning their attention back to Serie A action on Sunday afternoon, Napoli will travel to Lombardy when they meet Cremonese.

Starting with the hosts, only making their iconic Serie A return this season, Cremonese’s sole focus is on maintaining their top-flight status this time around. Despite snatching a gritty 0-0 stalemate away at Italian giants Lazio last time out, Davide Nicola’s men have struggled to find any real stability on either side of November’s international break. Despite getting December underway with consecutive Serie A victories, the Lombardy-based outfit have won just a pair of their previous seven appearances and they look set for what will be another stern examination this weekend. Drawing back-to-back blanks over the past fortnight, La Cremo have also mustered just a sole win from any of their last six showdowns at the Stadio Giovanni Arvedi – a run that stems back to August 29th. Likewise, the Serie A newcomers also fell to a routine 3-0 drumming when they last met the reigning Italian champions back in February 2023.

As for the visitors, crowned Super Cup champions over in the Middle East last week as they secured a 2-0 victory against Bologna, Napoli certainly find the mood in their camp at a red-hot high. Despite being last seen in Serie A action slumping to a disappointing 1-0 loss away at Udinese, Antonio Conte’s men have their sights firmly set on defending their domestic crown this season. Opening Christmas Day sat just two points adrift of finding a route back to the top of the table. It should be noted, the reigning Italian champions have lost just one of their seven domestic appearances across all competitions since returning from November’s international break. Claiming a heavyweight scalp earlier in the month as they secured a 2-1 win against historic rivals Juventus, Napoli will be desperate to make another title statement when they travel to Lombardy on Sunday afternoon. Coming off the back of their Super Cup success over in Saudi Arabia, we are backing an away victory this weekend.

Bet: Napoli 4/7 to beat Cremonese in Saturday’s Serie A showdown @ BetUS
