Competition: Europa League

Market: Celta Vigo win

Odds: 8/11 @ Pribet

Looking to extend on their Europa League romp on Thursday evening, Celta Vigo will travel to Bulgaria when they meet Ludogorets.

Starting with the hosts, while Ludogorets might have stormed their way to a record-breaking 14th domestic crown last season, the Eagles have rather drastically struggled to find any kind of stability this time around. Despite marking their return from November’s international break with a much-welcomed 2-0 win away at Septemvri Sofia, that is just the second victory that Per-Mathis Hogmo’s men have recorded from any of their previous 10 appearances across all competitions. With that extended rut stemming all the way back to the end of September, the former Molde boss could find some mounting pressure on his shoulders in Razgrad. Likewise, although the Bulgarian heavyweights might have opened their Europa League adventure with a 2-1 victory against Molde, Ludogorets have come crashing back down to earth in a worrying fashion. Last seen in European action falling to a routine 3-1 defeat away at Ferencvaros, Thursday’s hosts have lost each of their previous three straight Europa League showdowns by an aggregate score of 8-3.

As for the visitors, while Celta Vigo might have entered November’s international break with an action-packed 4-2 victory against reigning Spanish champions Barcelona, it appears that was just a minor blip for Los Celestes. Flying out of the traps since opening up their respective Europa League adventure back in August, Claudio Giraldez’s camp could have their sights set on mounting a genuine European charge this season. With the mood around Galicia at a red-hot high, the Sky Blues can take a giant leap towards punching their knockout stage ticket on Thursday evening. Last seen in Europa League action storming their way to a stellar 3-0 romp away at Dinamo Zagreb, Celta Vigo should be excited by a trip to Bulgaria here. In fact, including an eye-catching 2-1 victory against Nice on October 23rd, Giraldez’s side have won all of their previous three straight Europa League showdowns by an aggregate score of 8-2. Likewise, winning six of their last seven appearances across all competitions – a run that stems back to a 1-1 draw against Real Sociedad on October 19th – we are backing an away victory in midweek.

Bet: Celta Vigo 8/11 to beat Ludogorets in Thursday’s Europa League matchup @ Pribet
