Looking to collect another heavyweight Championship scalp and extend on their recent purple patch, Millwall will welcome Leicester to south London on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, while Millwall might have got October underway with a thumping 4-0 loss at the hands of Coventry, the Lions have come roaring back in a sensational fashion. Last seen putting in a dominant display as they clinched an eye-catching 2-0 victory at home against Stoke, Alex Neil’s men have come skyrocketing up the Championship standings. In fact, getting Saturday’s fixtures underway remarkably sat in bronze medal position, the former Norwich boss could be smelling the chance to claim a heavyweight scalp this weekend. Heading into October’s international break with a stunning 3-0 romp against fellow play-off contenders West Brom, Millwall have won each of their last three consecutive Championship appearances by an aggregate score of 6-1. Marking their return from October’s fortnight interval with a 2-1 win away at local foes QRR, Neil’s side have also suffered just a sole second-tier defeat since the end of August. It should also be highlighted, Millwall have registered nine points from their previous four showdowns in south London.

As for the visitors, although Leicester might have opened up the 2025/26 campaign with their sights set on securing an immediate Premier League return, the Foxes have continued to show a string of glaring issues. Last seen earlier in the week falling to a 2-1 loss away at Hull, it has been suggested that Marti Cifuentes has some serious pressure on his shoulders. Marking their respective return from October’s international break with a 1-1 stalemate at home against Portsmouth, the former QPR boss has seen his downbeat squad muster just a single win from any of their previous seven straight Championship appearances – a rut that stems back to August 29th. Opening Saturday’s trip to the capital sat outside the play-off places, Leicester have shown some worrying defensive struggles. Including a 2-2 draw against Oxford on September 13th, Cifuentes’ men have registered just a sole clean sheet from any of their first seven showdowns away from the King Power across all competitions.
