Competition: Spanish Segunda

Market: Chupe over 0.5 shots on target

Odds: 3/5 @ BetUS

Two camps who are scrapping it out at opposite ends of the Segunda table, Malaga will travel to Castile and Leon when they meet Mirandes on Monday night.

Starting with the hosts, while Mirandes might have opened up the 2025/26 campaign once again widely regarded as a standout play-off contender, the Reds have endured a public nightmare this time around. Coming under a huge amount of scrutiny and shattering a string of unwanted records, Antxon Muneta’s men have an almighty battle on their hands in the race to avoid an infamous Segunda relegation. Remarkably sat rock-bottom of the table and putting just 17 points on the board so far this season, Los Rojillos are already eight points adrift of safety. Last seen putting in another nightmare display as they slumped to a routine 3-0 drumming away at Sporting Gijon, Mirandes have also failed to win any of their previous eight appearances across all competitions (six defeats, two draws). Hit with consecutive 2-1 losses against Eibar and Cordoba on either side of opening the New Year, Monday’s hosts have shown some glaring defensive struggles.

As for the visitors, while Malaga might have only just clung to their Segunda status last season, Los Albicelestes have come roaring back in a stunning fashion. Putting in a dominant performance last time out as they stormed their way to a thumping 3-0 romp at home against Burgos, Juan Francisco Funes finds the mood in his camp at a red-hot high. Skyrocketing their way into the play-off places, Monday’s guests are also remarkably within touching distance of the automatic promotion spots. Cementing their spot as one of Spain’s ultimate surprise packages this season, Malaga are in the midst of a stellar purple patch. Getting 2026 underway with a major statement of intent as they cruised their way to a 3-1 victory away at Sporting Gijon, Funes’ high-flying squad have won all of their last six straight Segunda showdowns – a run that stems back to a 1-1 stalemate against Real Zaragoza on December 8th.

Bet: Chupe over 0.5 shots on target against Mirandes 3/5 for Monday’s Segunda battle @ BetUS
