Competition: World Cup qualifier

Market: Norway win to nil

Odds: 1/2 @ BetUS

Looking to extend on their stellar purple patch, Norway will welcome Moldova to Oslo on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, while Norway might have once again been left hugely frustrated last year as they missed out on a EURO 24 ticket, Stale Solbakken’s side have come roaring back in a sensational fashion. Getting their World Cup qualifying adventure underway on March 22nd with a dominant 5-0 romp away at Moldova, the former Copenhagen boss will be dreaming of a repeat performance here. Likewise, last seen in qualifying action landing a gritty 1-0 victory away at Estonia, they have won all of their first four Group I appearances by an aggregate score of 13-2. Booking an elite Nations League ticket back in November and signing off their group stage adventure with another 5-0 victory against Kazakhstan, it is no surprise that Norway have gained a reputation for their clinical performances in the final third. Likewise, winning all of their last seven straight showdowns across all competitions, it should also be noted that Solbakken’s camp have recorded a clean sheet in five of their previous six matchups.

As for the visitors, while Norway might be enjoying what has become an extended purple patch, the same can’t be said for a Moldova squad who are enduring yet another public struggle. Last seen over the weekend falling to a routine 4-0 drumming at home against Israel, Serghei Clescenco’s side have only further underlined their status as Group I’s ultimate whipping boys. In fact, the Blues have lost all of their first four World Cup qualifying appearances by an aggregate score of 14-2. Getting 2025 underway with that routine 5-0 defeat against Norway, Moldova ahem continued to show some glaring issues at both ends of the pitch. It should be highlighted, Tuesday’s guests have drawn a blank in four of their five showdowns so far this calendar year. Recording just a sole competitive win on foreign soil over the past two years, Clescenco’s camp face a monumental challenge in midweek.

Bet: Norway 1/2 to beat Moldova to nil in Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier @ BetUS
