Competition: Isthmian League Primer Division
Market: Both teams to score
Odds: 7/10 @ Pribet
Two sides who find themselves scrapping it out at the foot of the Isthmian League Primer Division table, Potters Bar will welcome St. Albans to the Lantern Community Stadium on Monday night.
Starting with the hosts, managing to claim what was an essential boost over the weekend as they sprung a real upset away at Chichester, Potters Bar will be desperate to use that performance as a platform to build on. However, despite landing an eye-catching 3-1 victory outside of Hertfordshire on Saturday afternoon, the Scholars have once again drastically failed to find any kind of stability since opening up the 2025/26 campaign. Watching their FA Cup qualifying adventure come to an end earlier in the month as they eventually fell to a 2-0 loss at the hands of Hitchin, Max Mitchell’s side have mustered just a single win from any of their first eight appearances across all competitions. With their nightmare start to proceedings underlined by a frantic 4-3 loss at home against Brentwood on August 16th, Potters Bar have also continued to show some extended defensive issues. In fact, continuing on from last season, Monday’s hosts have mustered just a sole clean sheet from any of their previous 14 outings – a run that stems all the way back to March 22nd.
As for the visitors, while St. Albans might have extended on their respective FA Cup qualifying adventure on August 30th as they clinched a 3-1 win against Aylesbury Vale, the Saints find themselves in the midst of what has been a continued rut. Losing their National League South states last season, Ian Culverhouse’s side have claimed just a single victory from their first six Isthmian League appearances since opening up the 2025/26 campaign. Putting just five points on the board so far this year, Monday’s guests also find just their goal difference keeping them outside the relegation zone. Last seen over the weekend playing out a 1-1 stalemate against Aveley, the former Boston boss appears to have a major job on his hands at Clarence Park. Signing off August with consecutive 2-1 defeats against Chestnut and Folkestone, St. Albans have also shown their own glaring defensive struggles. However, it should be noted, with Culverhouse’s men seeing five of their last six outings across all competitions finish with both teams finding the net, we are expecting a similar outcome here.
Bet: Both teams to score at Potters Bar Town vs St. Albans City 7/10 for Monday’s Isthmian League Primer Division matchup @ Pribet
