Marco Borriello could be on his way out of Roma this winter as Inter are considering making a move for the attacker, according to reports.
The Nerazzurri are in the market for attacking reinforcements due to the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the future of Diego Milito, and sporting director Marco Branca sees Borriello as a good replacement should the Argentine decide to leave the club, Il Corriere dello Sport has reported.
The 29-year-old Borriello has mainly been warming the bench at Roma in the 2011-12 campaign and is believed to be eager to leave the club in order to relaunch his career.
Roma made Borriello’s stay at the Stadio Olimpico permanent in the summer of 2011 after a previous loan deal from AC Milan, but they now appear to be ready to let go of the Italy international again following his disappointing form so far.
Borriello has a contract with Roma until June 2014. He has made only seven appearances for Luis Enrique’s side in all competitions so far this season but has yet to score.
