With London bragging rights up for grabs on New Year’s Day, Brentford will welcome Tottenham to the Gtech.

While the Bees might have opened up the 2025/26 campaign with many billing them to find themselves at the heart of a relegation scrap, Brentford have cemented their spot as one of the Premier League’s ultimate surprise packages this time around.

Claiming an essential boost on their travels last weekend, Tottenham will be desperate to find some essential stability in 2026 and Thomas Frank will be bracing himself for an emotional return to west London on Thursday night.

Ahead of a derby showdown on New Year’s Day, we have taken a glance at some of the most eye-catching Brentford vs Tottenham Bet Builder Tips.

Brentford’s dominance in west London

While there might have been plenty of raised eyebrows around west London over the summer following Keith Andrews’ appointment, Brentford are certainly relishing life under the Irish tactician.

Breaking plenty of records this season and opening the midweek fixtures sat within touching distance of skyrocketing their way into the European spots, Thursday’s hosts find the mood in their camp at a red-hot high.

Last seen over the weekend putting in a sensational display as they cruised their way to a 4-1 romp against Bournemouth, Brentford have certainly gained a reputation for their dominance on home soil.

Securing back-to-back Premier League victories for the first time since the end of October, Andrews’ high-flying squad have also registered 20 points from their first nine showdowns at the Gtech.

Along with an action-packed 3-2 win against defending Premier League champions Liverpool on October 25th, Brentford have also secured home victories against the likes of Newcastle and Aston Villa this season.

Frank desperately searching for some stability

While there might have been plenty of excitement around north London following Frank’s arrival, Tottenham have continued to show some glaring inconstancies on either side of November’s international break.

Although the Lilywhites might have claimed an essential boost last weekend as they secured a 1-0 win away at local rivals Crystal Palace, the former Brentford boss has found some serious pressure mounting on his shoulders.

Falling to a shock 3-0 drumming at the hands of relegation scrappers Nottingham Forest on December 14th, Spurs have remarkably registered just a pair of Premier League victories on their travels since the end of October.

However, despite watching their European dreams take a real blow over the past month and currently scrapping it out in the bottom-half of the Premier League standings, Tottenham should be excited by a dominant record against the Bees.

In fact, Thursday’s guests have won all of their previous four consecutive meetings against Brentford by an aggregate score of 10-3.

Keep an eye out for Richarlison

With Dominic Solanke not featuring since the end of August and still sidelined with a long-term ankle injury, many were wondering who would set up and lead Tottenham’s charge in the final third.

However, although PSG loanee Randal Kolo Muani might have largely failed to find his feet since arriving in north London, Brazilian international Richarlison has done an impressive job of spearheading Frank’s attack.

Although the former Everton star might have had a pair of goals ruled out by close VAR calls against Crystal Palace last weekend, Frank has been filled with praise for his new leading marksman.

Coming off the bench and bagging what turned out to be a consolation strike during Spurs’ 2-1 loss against Liverpool on December 20th, Richarlison has registered six direct goal contributions in his last 10 appearances across all formats.

Meeting a Brentford defence who have registered just a single clean sheet from any of their previous 10 showdowns against Premier League opposition, the 54-cap international will be looking to spring an upset in west London.
