Former Hull boss Phil Brown has officially left the Championship club after a statement released by the League Managers Association confirmed both parties have agreed an “amicable departure”.
Brown, who led the Tigers into the Premier League for the first time in their history in 2008, was placed on gardening leave in March as the club battled relegation last season.
Iain Dowie took over team affairs in Brown’s absence but was not retained at the end of the season after failing to stop Hull crashing out of the English top-flight.
Although the manager’s role at the KC Stadium is still vacant, Brown will not be returning to the club.
