Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets says his side thoroughly deserved their 4-2 win over Real Betis on Sunday.
The reigning La Liga champions picked up an early 2-0 lead through goals from Xavi and Lionel Messi, but the guests fought back and restored parity shortly after the break, before goals from Alexis Sanchez and a Messi penalty eventually helped Barca to the three points.
“We knew how dangerous Betis were because of last year’s Copa del Rey tie. We were lucky to have scored two quick goals because they are a good team,” Busquets said.
“Nevertheless, in the second half we went on the attack with more players. We were superior and managed to change the outcome of the game.”
Barcelona are second in the Primera Division table with 41 points from 18 games, trailing leaders Real Madrid by five points.
