Fabrizio Romano has reported that Casemiro is unlikely to stay at Manchester United beyond the end of the season.
Casemiro is out of contract at Man United in the summer of 2026, and although there is an option to extend it by another year, Italian journalist Romano does not think that it will be taken.
Romano said on his Here We Go podcast: “It’s a strange situation for Casemiro because he is still a very important player for Manchester United, a very important starter for Ruben Amorim, one of the most important players in the dressing room.
“His status is not just about the performance, but he is a serial winner. He is unbelievable in leadership as a player. He’s still a starter, but at the moment, there are no negotiations to extend his contract.
“There is a feeling among those close to the club that Casemiro might go in the summer of 2026 after rejecting really important financial proposals, especially from Saudi Arabia in the last few years.
“It’s still not guaranteed they will part ways, but there is a concrete chance to see them part ways in the summer.”
