Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas admits the Copa del Rey round of 16 matches against Malaga will be a challenge for his side.
Friday’s draw determined that Madrid will lock horns with Manuel Pellegrini’s side in a two-legged tie, with a clash against Barcelona in line if both clubs progress in the competition.
Casillas is anticipating a difficult task against Malaga and noted that his side’s 4-0 La Liga victory against the Andalusians in October will be hard to repeat.
“Malaga are a complicated rival, they are a good team and if we want to go through, we will need to have a great match at the Bernabeu,” he said on his Facebook page.
“In La Liga, we managed to get a result which did not match what Malaga did on the pitch. This will be a nice tie.”
The first legs of the last-16 matches will take place on January 4, while the return games are scheduled for a week later.
