Chelsea make approach for Ollie Watkins

Chelsea are interested in signing Ollie Watkins from Premier League rivals Aston Villa in the summer transfer window, according to Football Transfers. The report has revealed that the Blues have already approached Villa for the England international striker.

The London club are keen on a summer deal for Victor Osimhen. The Nigeria international striker is on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli until the end of the season. Chelsea fear that the striker’s wage demands may be too much for them, which is why they are looking for alternatives.

Watkins has been on the books of Villa since 2020 when he joined from Brentford. The 29-year-old has scored 16 goals and given 13 assists in 51 appearances for the Villans so far this season. The striker has found the back of the net 86 times and provided 41 assists in 220 matches in all competitions for Villa so far in his career.
