Bayern Munich left-back Diego Contento is reportedly facing four weeks on the sidelines after breaking his toe in training.
Kicker reported the 21-year-old collided with a team-mate during Friday’s practice session and needs the aid of crutches to walk.
Contento’s exact recovery time is still unknown, but it is believed that the Germany Under-20 international has at least a four-week lay-off ahead of him.
The defender, who broke into Bayern’s first team in 2010, has so far made seven appearances in all competitions this season.
Bayern – who lead the Bundesliga by three points from Borussia Dortmund and Schalke – return to action on Friday at Borussia Monchengladbach as the league resumes after its mid-season break.
