Jonathan David expressed his gratitude for his Juventus team-mates and head coach Luciano Spalletti, after they celebrated the end of his goal drought.

The Canadian striker scored in the Bianconeri’s 3-0 win over Sassuolo on Tuesday, ending his longest streak without a goal across Ligue 1 and Serie A (16 matches).

His goal came 110 seconds after he assisted Fabio Miretti, seeing him score and also provide an assist in an away match for the first time in his career.

Juventus have now won three consecutive away games in Serie A for the first time since the period between December 2023 and January 2024, under the guidance of Massimiliano Allegri.

After David scored the third goal, all his team-mates, the substitutes and Spalletti ran over to celebrate with him, for which he was extremely grateful.
