Real Madrid will go into Tuesday’s Copa del Rey match against Malaga without the services of Angel Di Maria due to injury.

The Argentina international sustained a thigh problem in training in the last week of 2011 and Madrid confirmed on their official website that Di Maria has not recovered in time to make the match squad for the game at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The 23-year-old has been in excellent form in the 2011-12 campaign, and has already set up 13 goals in 14 league appearances for Los Blancos.

Di Maria is likely to be replaced by former Espanyol star Jose Callejon in the starting XI for the last-16 match on Tuesday evening.

Meanwhile, defenders Sergio Ramos and Ricardo Carvalho both also miss out on the encounter with Malaga due to injury problems.
