Real Madrid sporting director Miguel Pardeza has made it clear the La Liga leaders have no intention of selling winger Angel Di Maria.
Reports suggested Real had received a 42 million-euro offer from an unnamed English Premier League club, but Pardeza says Di Maria’s future lies at the Santiago Bernabeu rather than in the UK.
“Di Maria can count on the love and appreciation of the club and we do not want to sell him,” Pardeza told Canal Plus.
“We are proud that offers are coming in, because that means that signing the player was a success and that he is doing well at Madrid.”
The 23-year-old winger moved to Real from Liga Sagres outfit Benfica in June 2010 for fee of 25 million euros, and has a contract with Madrid until June 2016.
He has made 20 appearances in all competitions for Real this season, scoring five goals and contributing 13 assists.
