Valencia coach Unai Emery says he men did not deserve anything from their 1-0 defeat to Real Sociedad in La Liga on Saturday.
Emery, 40, accepted the loss at the Mestalla, acknowledging Valencia played poorly after letting a positive start slip.
“We played a bad game,” Emery said. “We have been dull except for the first quarter of an hour.”
“We did not manage to find a way past (Real Sociedad goalkeeper Claudio Bravo), but we lost a very even match.”
Third-placed Valencia’s failure to close the gap on Barcelona, who play Real Betis on Sunday, means they could potentially fall seven points behind the defending La Liga champions.
