Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez wants to join Manchester United in the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes. There have been contacts between Man United and Martinez’s entourage, with the Argentina international goalkeeper willing to make the move to Old Trafford even though Ruben Amorim’s side will not play in Europe next season.
Villa are willing to sell Martinez and will demand at least £30million. There is also a very good chance that the Villans could bump up their asking price to £40million for the 2022 World Cup winner with Argentina. Martinez is one of the best goalkeepers in the world and fits the profile that Amorim is looking for.
Andre Onana is the number one goalkeeper at Man United at the moment. Although the former Inter Milan player is a good player, he has made high-profile mistakes and cannot always be relied upon between the sticks.
