Portugal legend Eusebio has been readmitted to hospital for tests on his heart, only days after being released with a clean bill of health.
The 69-year old had spent almost two weeks at the Hospital da Luz just before Christmas due to bilateral pneumonia, and he put the condition down to the amount of travelling that he had been doing.
Despite only being released on New Year’s Eve, the former Benfica forward was taken back to hospital to undergo tests on his heart on Tuesday night.
The extent or seriousness of the ailment is as yet unknown, but this is the latest of a number of health scares for the ex-Portugal international.
Eusebio played for his country 64 times during a glittering career, scoring 41 times and famously led Benfica to European Cup glory in 1962.
