Fiorentina president Mario Cognigni has declared midfielder Valon Behrami ‘not for sale’ in the January transfer window.
The versatile 26-year-old has been linked with a move to Juventus, but his current club have no intention of letting Behrami leave any time soon.
“Behrami is officially not for sale at any price,” Cognigni told Sky Sport 24.
“We are proud that our star players attract the interest of some big clubs. However, we are keeping them at the club and don’t want to sell. This is not the right time to do any big outgoing transfers.”
Behrami joined Fiorentina from West Ham in January 2011 and has developed into a key player at the Viola.
He has a contract with the Serie A club until the end of the 2013/14 season.
