Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has assured fans that morale in the Black Stars camp is high as they prepare for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Muntari said every member of the team got on well with each other and he believes this is a major boost as they seek to annex the continental trophy for the fifth time in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
“It’s a wonderful atmosphere always in the Ghana camp because you feel at home and we are all brothers, that’s the most important thing,” Muntari said in an interview with ESPN.
“We are one as a group so we move together and make sure we do everything together and we don’t really fight. And we don’t really do bad stuff among ourselves.”
The Inter Milan player, who missed the last Africa Cup of Nations due to injury, said Ghana were determined to break a 30-year drought at the tournament.
“(It) is going to mean a lot because it’s been a long time that Ghana has won the trophy,” Muntari said.
“And we are approaching there, closely. The feeling is there so we want to do something important this year so we are training towards the competition. And we want to do something important by winning the trophy.”
Ghana open their campaign against Botswana on Tuesday and will also meet Guinea and Mali in Group D.
