Ho signs three-year deal to take charge of Tottenham Women

Tottenham have appointed former Manchester United assistant Martin Ho as their new head coach ahead of the 2025-26 Women’s Super League season.

Liverpool-born Ho served as Everton’s assistant coach from 2015 to 2018, then joined United’s staff under Casey Stoney in 2020.

He stayed on for two further years after Marc Skinner took the reins in 2021, before leaving to carve out his own managerial career with Norwegian club Brann.

His Brann team became the first Norwegian side to reach the Champions League group stage in 2023-24, and they reached the quarter-finals by finishing second behind eight-time champions Lyon, ahead of Slavia Prague and St. Polten.

They lost 5-2 on aggregate to eventual champions Barcelona in the last eight, while finishing second to Valerenga in the 2024 Norwegian Toppserien.

He departs with Brann also second midway through the 2025 edition, just a point behind the defending champions.

Ho has penned a three-year contract with Spurs, who sacked previous coach Robert Vilahamn after finishing 11th in the WSL last season, only winning five of 22 games.

That was Tottenham’s lowest finish since they were promoted to the WSL in 2018-19. They had finished sixth in 2023-24, also losing to Manchester United in the FA Cup final.

The 2025-26 WSL campaign will begin on September 6, with the fixture list being released on July 25.
