AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has admitted that he is thinking about a coaching position after he finishes his playing career.
The Sweden international previously stated that he would not return to the game after hanging up his boots, but is now having second thoughts as he aims to follow in the footsteps of compatriot Henrik Larsson, who is the manager of Swedish side Landskrona BoIS.
“I have previously said that a coaching career wouldn’t be for me, but at the moment it’s very likely to happen after my career,” Ibrahimovic told Swedish newspaper Sportbladet.
“I remember that Henke Larsson also said that he didn’t want to become a coach, and look at him now. You never know what happens in football.”
“I want to continue playing for two to three more years and then we will see what happens in the future.”
The 30-year-old attacker has a contract with Milan until the summer of 2015.
