AC Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes that his side can achieve success this season provided they do not ‘slip up’.
The Swedish star was on target in the Italian champions’ 2-0 away victory over Cagliari in Serie A on Tuesday that saw them gain temporary leadership of the league.
The Rossoneri moved to 34 points from 16 matches, one ahead of Juventus who play Udinese on Wednesday, but Ibrahimovic is confident that they will overtake the Turin giants eventually.
“Merry Christmas to all the Milan fans,” the 30-year-old said on Milan’s official website.
“We’ll see what happens tomorrow but we played our part. Now we have a break and when we get back we’ll do what we’ve done up until now.”
“We have to concentrate on ourselves, if we do what we know we can, we’ll go far. We’re the stronger team and if we don’t slip up, the sky’s the limit.”
Milan are back in Serie A action on January 8 when they travel to Bergamo to take on Atalanta.
