(GSM) – Internacional did themselves a great favor this Thursday as the Brazilians beat defending champions Estudiantes 1-0 in the first leg of the Copa Libertadores quarter finals.

For a long time, an entirely Argentinian Estudiantes kept the ball away from their goal against an Internacional side that included Argentinians such as Roberto Abbondanzieri and Andres D’Alessandro.

But with just two minutes left to play in Porto Alegre, it was Uruguayan defender Gonzalo Sorondo to break the deadlock in the home side’s favor.

The second leg is scheduled to take place in Argentina on Thursday, May 20.
