Watching Arsenal travel to the San Siro for what is a blockbuster battle against Italian icons Inter Milan, we have nine European showdowns pencilled in on Tuesday.

For those of you looking to stick on a midweek flutter, we have taken a glance at some of the most eye-catching Champions League showdowns.

Tuesday, January 20th

BST 20:00 Inter Milan vs Arsenal

Although Arsenal might have missed out on the chance to widen their buffer at the top of the Premier League table to nine points on Saturday evening, the Gunners still have their sights set on completing an iconic silverware sweep in 2026.

Despite eventually settling for a 0-0 stalemate away at relegation scrappers Nottingham Forest over the weekend, Mikel Arteta’s men have suffered just a single defeat from any of their previous 11 appearances across all competitions.

Likewise, Tuesday’s guests have embarked on a sensational Champions League romp this season and they are widely regarded as a genuine tittle contender this year.

In fact, last seen in European action securing a stellar 3-1 victory against Bayern Munich the English giants have won all of their six showdowns and they are the only club in this season’s tournament who can boast a 100% record.

Looking to claim another heavyweight European scalp here, Arsenal have also conceded just a single Champions League strike so far.

While Cristian Chivu might have only arrived at the San Siro last summer, Inter Milan are certainly enjoying life under the former Parma boss.

Sat in the driving seat to reclaim their Serie A crown in 2026 and really firing on all cylinders, last season’s Champions League finalists are enjoying a real purple patch.

Last seen over the weekend putting in another gritty performance as they clinched a 1-0 victory away at Udinese, the Nerazzurri have registered 16 points from their previous six domestic appearances.

Looking to claim what would be a heavyweight European scalp on Tuesday night, Inter Milan have also recorded consecutive clean sheets for the first time since back in October.

Likewise, Inter have also come away unscathed in three of their previous four domestic battles. It should also be highlighted, Chivu’s camp secured a 1-0 win when they last welcomed Arsenal to the San Siro for a Champions League showdown back in November 2024.

Betting Tip: Both teams to score – No @ 11/10

20:00 Sporting Lisbon vs PSG

Making real history last season as they got their hands on a maiden Champions League crown, PSG gained a fearsome reputation from across the continent.

Despite watching their Coupe de France adventure come to an infamous end last week as they fell to a 1-0 loss at home against bitter local rivals and Ligue 1 debutants Paris FC, it appears that was nothing more than a minor blip for the reigning European champions.

Last seen on Friday night storming their way to a 3-0 romp against historic foes Lille, the former Barcelona boss have won six of their previous seven appearances across all competitions.

Putting 13 points on the board from their six Champions League showdowns this season and marking their return sat in bronze medal position, PSG will be looking to make another European statement when they travel to Lisbon in midweek.

It should also be highlighted, notching 19 Champions League strikes during this season’s tournament, no club from across the continent can boast a better attacking return.

While Sporting Lisbon might have suffered a real League Cup shock earlier in the month as they fell to a 2-1 loss at the hands of Guimaraes, Rui Borges’ men claimed an immediate response over the weekend.

Putting in a routine performance at the Estadio Jose Alvalde as they cruised their way to a 3-0 victory against Casa Pia, the Portuguese giants have their sights set on clinching a Champions League knockout stage ticket this year.

Despite being pencilled in as a real underdog contender on Tuesday night, Sporting will be excited by their extended dominance in Lisbon.

Signing off 2025 with a 4-0 romp against Rio Ave, Borges’ side have won all of their last nine consecutive showdowns in front of their own supporters across all competitions – a run that stems all the way back to a 1-1 stalemate against Braga on October 5th.

Likewise, Sporting have also recorded at least a trio of goals in all of their last six straight matchups in Lisbon.

Betting Tip: Vitinha Over 0.5 fouls @ 21/20

20:00 Tottenham vs Borussia Dortmund

Suffering last-gasp heartbreak over the weekend as they fell to a 2-1 loss at home against historic rivals and relegation scrappers West Ham, the pressure on Thomas Frank’s shoulders has now reached a boiling point.

With fans around the white half of north London making their frustrations abundantly clear, many Tottenham supporters are calling for an immediate change in the dugout.

Watching their FA Cup adventure come to an end last week as they slumped to another 2-1 defeat at home against Aston Villa, the former Brentford boss is at the heart of a public nightmare.

Along with losing each of their previous three consecutive domestic appearances by an aggregate score of 7-4, Spurs have also remarkably claimed just a pair of Premier League victories since the end of October.

Likewise, Frank’s side are also winless in their last four showdowns in north London across all competitions (three defeats, one draw).

Sat firmly in the driving seat to claim yet another silver medal finish among Germany’s elite this season, Borussia Dortmund should be excited by a trip to north London here.

Last seen over the weekend claiming a thrilling 3-2 victory at home against St. Pauli, Niko Kovac’s men have continued to shine on either side of opening the New Year.

Despite suffering Champions League frustration on December 10th as they were forced to settle for a 2-2 stalemate against Norwegian outfit Bodo/Glimt, the former Monaco boss has seen his squad suffer just a single defeat from any of their previous 11 appearances across all competitions – a run that stems back to November 5th.

However, BVB do hold a nightmare European record against Tuesday’s hosts. In fact, they have lost each of their last four straight Champions League showdowns against spies by an aggregate score of 9-2.

Nevertheless, recording a trio of goals in all of their first three showdowns on 2026, Dortmund will be looking to put the final nail in Frank’s north London coffin.
