Fenerbahce head coach Jose Mourinho wants to sign Federico Chiesa from Liverpool in the summer transfer window, according to A Spor. The report in the Turkish news outlet has revealed that Mourinho has told Fenerbahce to get a deal done for Chiesa.
Chiesa joined Liverpool from Juventus in the summer of 2024 for £10 million. The Italy international winger was expected to be a major success at Anfield, but he has had injury problems and has failed to make an impact under manager Arne Slot at Liverpool this season.
The 27-year-old has played only 33 minutes in the Premier League this season and has made one start and two substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League for Liverpool this season. The Reds have won the Premier League title already this season, while Fenerbahce currently find themselves second in the Turkish Super Lig with 75 points from 31 matches, five points behind leaders Galatasaray.
