Kalvin Phillips is ready to leave Manchester City in the January transfer window, according to Football Insider.
Phillips, who starred for Leeds United in the Championship and then in the Premier League before switching to Man City in 2022, has made just one appearance in the Carabao Cup for Pep Guardiola’s side so far this season.
Journalist Pete O’Rourke said: “Look, for Kalvin Phillips, I think he probably needs to move on from City in the January window and get back to playing.
“He’s not played enough over the last couple of seasons, he’s had disappointing loan spells at West Ham and Ipswich, so Phillips could be tempted by a move abroad.
“I’m sure there’ll be a number of European clubs who would be interested in taking the former England international potentially on a loan deal.
“I think that might be something that would be of interest to Phillips as well.
“He’d like to go and try a new challenge somewhere else and get his career back on track, because it’s stalled over the last couple of seasons.”
