Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp has lamented the second-half capitulation which saw his side tumble out of the Champions League.
The German champions had raced to a two goal lead at Signal Iduna Park, but a Loic Remy strike on the brink of half-time gave the visitors hope, before two late strikes gave the French side an unlikely victory.
“We played very well in the first period. Everything went well, we put much pressure on the opponents,” Klopp told Eurosport. “But then everything fell apart.”
“The second half was completely different. At 2-1 we had seven points, and at the end it was only four. What a dramatic difference.”
The loss means the Bundesliga holders finish fourth place in Group F, and so will not compete in European competition for the rest of the season.
