Borussia Dortmund manager Juergen Klopp will not take Fortuna Dusseldorf lightly when they meet in the DFB Pokal on Tuesday.
The reigning Bundesliga champions travel to second-tier table-toppers Fortuna on the back of an 11-match unbeaten streak in the league.
But Klopp says that counts for nothing in the Cup and expects a stern test from the 2. Bundesliga outfit.
“The Cup is very interesting, there’s so much to it,” Klopp said.
“Even if you’d win 15 times in a row in the league it doesn’t make it any more likely to reach the next round of the Cup.”
“It’s got very little to do with (Fortuna) Dusseldorf playing in the second tier of German football. They have a lot of class, but I think we know how to defend against them.”
